Are Your Wipes Disinfecting Surfaces, or Just “Cleaning?”

When it comes to wipes that disinfect the various surfaces in your fitness center or gym, not all products are made the same. Some “cleaning” wipes will clear away the dirt and debris on surfaces, but they’re not actually sanitizing that area. Check out the labels of the products you currently use. Do they actually say they’ll disinfect? If not, it’s time to move on to something better.

In order to disinfect your surfaces, you need a product that is actually designed and tested to disinfect. That’s where our surface disinfectant wipes come in handy.

Our wipes are registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, meaning they’ll actually kill bacteria and viruses, and not simply clear away debris. If the products you’re using are not registered with the EPA, they’re not disinfecting your surfaces. Our wipes are tested and rated to kill 99 percent of pathogens. That can include flu viruses including H1N1 and avian flu, as well as MRSA, Staph, and HIV.

Use our wipes on any number of surfaces, including:

Fitness Equipment and Machines

Sweat and excess moisture can turn weight machines, treadmills and other heavy fitness equipment into vectors for disease. Similarly, the counters where clients set water bottles and the seats they rest on can also harbor nasty germs. By wiping your machines with our hard surface cleaner disinfectant wipes, you and your clients will both get the peace of mind that comes with safe, clean equipment.

Lockers and Benches

After your clients work out, they may still sweat for quite some time, and that means they could transfer sweat to the benches and lockers in your changing rooms. Give those surfaces a quick cleaning by keeping a roll of wipes in your facility’s changing areas.

Balls and Small Equipment

Our surface wipes are safe enough to use on any non-porous surfaces in your facility, including the balls, dumbbells, mats and other small fitness equipment.

While your facility is open, it can be tough to monitor whether your clients are using the wipes to sanitize your equipment. Our easy-to-use, easy-to-grab wipes make it easy for you to wipe down any frequently-used surfaces before you turn the lights off at the end of the day.
