Where is Obama born? US President Barack Hussein Obama’s birth and past life is a mystery to many. While it is widely circulated to us that the President was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on 4th August 1961 in Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital, many believe that he was born in Africa, in the country of Kenya. The controversy had begun right after the Presidential election of The United States. Some people of the US have not accepted Barack Obama as their President, because of the reluctance of the Government to reveal his birth certificate.
The 44th American President’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham was born in Wichita, Kansas and was of Irish descent, whereas Obama’s father Sr. Barack Hussein Obama, was born in the province of Nyanza, Kenya. His parents divorced and his mother went on to marry an Indonesian. After that, it is said that, Obama attended the local schools in Jakarta while staying with his mother. On 1971, he came back to Honolulu to stay with his maternal grandparents and finished his schooling from there. In 1979 he attended Occidental College and later in 1981, he attended the Columbian University in New York with major in Political Science.
The people of America doubt his citizenship and therefore do not accept his role and responsibilities as an US President. In spite of the original birth certificate that was revealed by Hawaii’s Governor Linda Lingle, some people claim to have found the only reference in the Coast Provincial Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya where the African relatives were said to have been present during the time of Obama’s birth.
Questions arise about the delay in revealing the birth certificate, further raising doubts about the citizenship of Barack Obama. The Government refuses to take any steps regarding this. In spite of the protests and march being held in different parts of Washington D.C. Such an issue has led to some eminent leaders of other factions doubting the President’s eligibility to be in the Oval Office.
According to Article II, Section 1 of the U. S. Constitution, which states: “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President”. If Barack Obama is a Kenyan born, then he is not in any way eligible to become the President of the United States. So, where is Obama born?
